1/10/2018 Raffle Items Needed!Happy New Year Adler Families!!!
The mark of a new year means the Adler Carnival is right around the corner! This also means that the fifth grade students are preparing for the 5th grade raffle that happens in conjunction with the carnival. This is a very exciting time for all the students. The committee along with the fifth graders work hard to make this event a HUGE success for our children but… we need your HELP! The Adler 5th graders lead this raffle with the support of their families and the committee. The goal of the fifth grade raffle is to bring the students together in an philanthropic effort to work as a group and give back to others. The 5th graders had a meeting before break to decide on a charity that a portion of the proceeds will go to. This year they have decided to donate to two charities that focus on helping children. They are Operation Smile and Feed My Starving Children. They will also have the opportunity to donate time at Feed My Starving Children. The other portion of the proceeds will go to legacy gift. The legacy gift is something that is purchased for the school in commemoration of their class, the 2018 class. This year the raffle will have the traditional baskets and a silent auction. New this year to the silent auction will be a class artwork project. Please consider donating any new, unused items you may have to help fill up our baskets. After the holidays is a perfect time to unload. We are looking for toys, puzzles, sports related items, gift cards, and so much more! Of course a monetary contribution of any size is also very much appreciated and will be used to purchase items needed to supplement donations received. Also consider asking a business owner you may have a relationship with if they are able to offer items, gift cards, or services OR asking your employer about making a donation in their name to support your child’s school. Donations can be dropped off anytime in the front office, there will be a bin marked ‘Gator Raffle” we would appreciate if we can receive any donations by January 26th, so that we can best plan the baskets. We are also is need of empty baskets you may have to donate. Thank You in advance for your help!!!
